At only twenty-two years of age, I have already accomplished the things that have always been most important to me : Find my perfect match, marry him, and have two beautiful children.

We spent five long years going through the hell of his Navy enlistment. We spent every moment unsure of when we'd be ripped apart and forced to spend numerous days not only apart, but in completely different countries. If it wasn't for how strong of a base we had built immediately in our relationship, we would not have been able to make it through, but we sure did, and our relationship has grown immensely through these years. We have been together six, married three, our children are two and one. As soon as we married, we decided I would stay at home and grow our babies in my belly, and help them grow the way we wished once they were in the world.

In June of this year, Ryan got out of the Navy. It was the day we had been waiting for, when our life together had no forced consequences, and we could make up our own minds about where we wanted to be and what we wanted to do. We settled on New Hampshire and have been here for a little over a month. I have been constantly spending freetime trying to learn all I can about our town and our surroundings. We live on a mountain that is a ski resort, which is perfect for my snowboard-obsessed husband. This year, I am hoping, will be the year I finally learn how to ride, and can join him in one of his favorite pasttimes. So far, we absolutely love it here and have found no cons. We might make this area our permanent home.

Now we are happy, settled, and things will only go up from here. The Navy is behind us, and we deserve some (much needed) happiness. Any problem that arises seems minimal compared to the separation our family has faced and overcome. My heart goes out to anyone who has to face similar situations, and even more to those who have to face worse ones.
